 A story - Who is Special?

I would like to introduce to you my old friend. We call him Everybody and this is his story.

Everybody was more pleased with his younger son - Unique because he is different unlike his brother -  Perspective. Unique brought up his dear sons - Special and Strange, whom you know already. Now, Attention is their favourite cousin. Attention hangs out a lot with both Strange and Special. She always said, "Special and Strange are no different." When it comes to Appreciation, their other cousin, however, it is quite different. 

What in Special interests Appreciation so much? It certainly has nothing to do with Special precisely, but with Appreciation herself. You can only see if you're keen enough that the secret is in her 'true' bloodline - the trait that is obscure and irrational. Had you been really close to Everybody, the great old man would have told you about his infamous adopted son - Perspective had the skill of a thousand men. This Perspective's daughters are Appreciation and Attention. 

What you now know, is a secret and not another soul shall know that I told you. Had Appreciation observed Attention more often, she would have realised the truth but her father - Perspective and her mother - Prejudice taught her things she can never unlearn. Prejudice was despondent when Attention carelessly overlooked Special's outstanding virtues and spend time with both of Unique's sons. I frequently conclude that Appreciation was just taught wrong and I have reasons to believe that too. Everybody told me, "The day we drop the act to reveal to Prejudice and Appreciation, that Unique has only one child, they will go insane again." I, therefore, conclude that the madness that flows in the blood of Prejudice and Appreciation will be the cause of a catastrophe if not cured.

Although I had a convoluted plot and the personification has twisted the idea, I would very much like to share my view through an alternate method. The crux would boil down to the fact that Prejudice has a disease which she passed on to one of her daughters - Appreciation. The psychological instability channels their minds into thinking that Unique has two children. Just like the many of us who see the broad separation between people, discriminate and group them as special or strange. However the fact that is clearly overseen, is that, "When one is unique, that one may variably be called special or strange." In the end, there is no saying as to who decides to call another special or strange, but we surely have the chance to give ourselves titles. There are many who just play along or stay silent as others judge you, so that at the right time, they support your cause and success.
